Home with Me

We hadn’t talked for a long time, but when you heard my voice again you felt it was home.

Home. Yet I feel like you still avoid me like the plague. It hurts me, you know. I know you loved me once, and I believe you love me now in a way. But still you keep me at bay–close enough to see me, but far where you can’t reach me.

Why do you do that? Why are you afraid? Come back home….
